Assistant Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
The Assistant Maintenance Manager - Ammonia/Refrigeration supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing repair and preventive maintenance activities for all equipment within the refrigeration section. Responsibilities include cleaning, installing, repairing, and replacing insulation, filters, and other system components to ensure optimal performance.
Shift:
- 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Education & Experience Requirements
- Trade school diploma or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with refrigeration equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand and shop tools for maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within refrigeration maintenance.
- Strong technical expertise in industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturer instructions.

- Assist in managing daily operations of the refrigeration department.
- Oversee maintenance and repair activities to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Supervise and train refrigeration technicians, promoting adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to design and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage team development, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure continuous improvement processes and team-based management practices are applied.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on safety, production, and cost-related metrics.
