Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the replenishment of materials and coordinate shipments from various supplier locations, considering lead times, order quantities, storage constraints, and shelf life (if applicable).
• Determine optimal order quantities to balance operational demand with available financial and physical resources.
• Oversee reverse logistics processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams in the event of material issues.
• Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and freight cost accuracy.
• Handle crisis situations effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously when material-related issues arise.
• Lead and facilitate supplier performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, including documentation, regulatory compliance, sample evaluations, and financial assessments, in partnership with the sourcing team.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver value across the organization.

Job Requirements:

• Must be available to work fully on-site.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Experience building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, especially operations or plant personnel.
• Proficiency in supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to mentor and support junior team members in purchasing roles.
• Experience in purchasing within the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Syspro) is advantageous.
