CNC Specialist

The CNC Specialist develops, optimizes, and maintains CNC programs and machine setups to support efficient, consistent, and high‑quality production. This role drives machining standardization, supports root‑cause investigations, improves processes, and collaborates cross‑functionally with Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams. The position requires extensive CNC programming and machining expertise, strong analytical skills, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

- Develop and verify CNC programs across multiple machines and product lines

- Perform and validate machine setups, including first‑piece inspections

- Analyze production issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement CAPA

- Monitor and document tooling wear and life using manual/automated methods

- Create and maintain standard work instructions, setup sheets, and CNC documentation

- Apply quality tools such as FMEA and SPC to monitor and improve processes

Requirements

- Associate degree, vocational certification, or equivalent technical/machining experience

- 7+ years of hands‑on CNC machining experience, including programming, setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization

- Proficiency with quality tools:SPC,FMEA,CAPA

- Ability to lead small technical projects and mentor peers
- Experience with inspection tools, measurement systems, and standard shop documentation
