Director of IT Procurement
Position Overview
A leading organization is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to oversee strategic sourcing across all indirect categories, with a particular focus on IT. This role will manage a team of sourcing professionals, drive sourcing execution, and deliver measurable value through cost savings, risk mitigation, and service improvements. The ideal candidate will be a strong negotiator, a collaborative partner to internal stakeholders, and a strategic thinker with deep category expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing sourcing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Own and prioritize the sourcing pipeline across IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations, Facilities, and Construction
- Directly manage IT sourcing initiatives and serve as a strategic advisor to IT stakeholders
- Lead complex RFPs and negotiations, ensuring favorable commercial outcomes
- Sponsor key supplier relationships and drive performance management
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across functions
- Communicate sourcing strategies and outcomes to senior leadership
- Standardize sourcing tools, templates, and playbooks
- Proactively remove roadblocks and monitor market dynamics that may impact sourcing outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing across indirect categories, with emphasis on IT
- 3+ years of experience managing sourcing professionals
- Proven success leading enterprise-level negotiations and RFx events
- Proficiency in eSourcing, CLM, P2P tools, and financial modeling (TCO, benchmarking, scenario analysis)
