Director of Operations
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead multi-site operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and segment objectives.
- Oversee Hoshin Kanri planning and monthly progress reviews for all sites within the sub-segment.
- Champion a "Win Together" culture across facilities to foster collaboration and shared success.
Operational Excellence:
- Drive quality-first mindset and deploy effective quality systems.
- Direct engineering, manufacturing, and operations to achieve targets for quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
- Establish advanced manufacturing asset buildout to support product enhancements and internal optimization.
Financial & Business Performance:
- Own P&L responsibility with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Set criteria for short- and long-term growth and regularly evaluate performance against standards.
- Optimize asset utilization across inventory, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Manage and oversee $1B+ in operational scope across multiple plants.
Customer & Market Focus:
- Strengthen customer relationships by understanding technical challenges and identifying new product opportunities.
- Ensure product costing aligns with pricing strategies and recommend pricing per established matrix.
- Support development of new market opportunities and requirements for existing and new products.
Talent Development:
- Build and maintain a top-talent organization through performance management, development, and succession planning.
- Coach and mentor leaders to grow future successors and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all EHS standards and maintain high ethical values in the workplace.
Qualifications
Basic:
- BS in Engineering, Business, or related field (graduate degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of plant operational management experience, including P&L ownership, lean manufacturing implementation, and customer relationship management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
Preferred:
- Experience in the investment casting industry.
