About the Role
An established third-party logistics organization is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead a high‑profile retail apparel operation in Northampton, PA. This role will oversee end‑to‑end distribution activities supporting ecommerce, retail outlet, and department store channels within a fast growth, startup environment. The Director will be responsible for launching a new account, stabilizing operations, and building a strong performance culture during an open book year-one financial structure. This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role requiring consistent presence on the floor, strong customer engagement, and the ability to drive productivity in a seasonal, high‑velocity environment. Experience with advanced automation and sortation technologies is a strong plus.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of distribution or logistics leadership experience
* Proven background in retail apparel, ecommerce, or omnichannel fulfillment
* Experience launching or scaling startup operations
* Strong understanding of automation solutions such as robotics and sortation systems
* Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams
* Strong knowledge of safety, labor planning, and productivity metrics
* High energy leadership style with strong decision‑making skills
* Experience managing seasonal volume spikes and floor set rollouts
