Director of Procurement
Company Profile: This growing organization is looking for a Director of Procurement to come in and develop strategies for direct materials. You will oversee a team of managers and indirect reports who will assist in building innovation and operational efficiencies. This is a newly created position that will allow you to elevate and transform the global supply chain operations while ensuring procurement, planning, and logistics are all aligned with the overall business strategy.
The Director of Procurement will be responsible for:
- Establish strategic sourcing plans for goods and services
- Manage the relationship with country authorities and complying with all country rules for import and export
- Propose negotiation strategies and guidelines for purchased products
- Create strategies for sourcing of goods and services
- Proactively monitoring and assessing Supply Chain trends, emerging practices and industry benchmarks
- Oversee and manage Direct and Indirect Procurement teams from a process improvement standpoint
The Director of Procurement should have the following:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- 6+ years of direct raw materials experience
- Direct management experience of 2+ direct reports
- Experience with an ERP and MRP
- Willing to travel
This is a full-time permanent role that will require you to be onsite in Essex County 5 days a week.
