Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to lead our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing within the chemicals manufacturing industry. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the procurement team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and conditions for the company.
  • Monitor market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Analyze procurement data and metrics to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance sustainability and ethical sourcing practices within the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the chemicals manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
