Director of Project Management
The Director of Project Management serves as a senior leader within the Global Engineering and Project Management organization, overseeing the delivery of major capital projects. This role is accountable for ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and strategic business goals. The ideal candidate brings extensive project management experience in manufacturing settings and is skilled at partnering across departments and coordinating with external suppliers. This position requires a seasoned leader who can manage multiple initiatives at once, optimize resource deployment, and consistently meet project deadlines and financial objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Drive capital project planning and execution, partnering with senior leadership to set strategic priorities, develop budgets, and monitor progress across short- and long‑term initiatives.
- Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring effective coordination among internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Strengthen project performance through proactive risk management, including identifying potential issues, developing mitigation plans, and conducting regular project reviews with senior management.
- Optimize resources and operational efficiency, managing staffing and resource allocation while collaborating with plant teams to implement process improvements and standardized project management practices.
- Provide leadership and clear communication, mentoring project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and reporting project status and KPIs to key stakeholders.
Ideal Skillset:
- Extensive industry and project leadership experience, including 15+ years in manufacturing/process technologies (ideally Food & Beverage or CPG), 10+ years managing complex projects, and 7+ years leading project management teams.
- Strong educational foundation, with a bachelor's or master's degree in project management, business, industrial engineering, or a related discipline; PMP certification preferred.
- Advanced technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project, with added value from SAP and CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
- Proven ability to deliver large‑scale capital projects, supported by strong cross‑functional leadership, stakeholder communication, problem‑solving, and the ability to perform under tight timelines.
- Highly adaptable project leader capable of navigating fast‑paced environments, committed to business growth, and willing to travel when required.
