Overview

A leading Medical equipment manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of electrical and electronic systems across new and existing products. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to support product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and enhance electrical and electronic systems with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and cost-conscious engineering
  • Ensure designs align with regulatory, safety, and industry code requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and manufacturing drawings
  • Develop component specifications and support supplier selection and outsourcing efforts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support R&D, production, and customer-facing technical needs
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues across products and processes
  • Support product changes by generating and managing engineering change documentation
  • Identify and qualify alternative components for end-of-life or supply-constrained parts
  • Assist with electrical testing methodologies and validation activities
  • Participate in value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean principles to reduce waste and improve process flow
  • Contribute to team-based problem solving and ongoing product optimization efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating within a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office tools
  • Working knowledge of standard electrical test and measurement equipment

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with wiring, assembly, or prototyping
  • Exposure to third-party certification or compliance testing
  • Experience with higher-level programming languages
  • Board-level or full-system electrical design background
  • Mechanical aptitude, including experience with sheet metal or electromechanical systems
