Our client is a globally recognised engineering organisation that designs and builds highly sophisticated machine tools used by some of the biggest names in aerospace, including Boeing, Airbus, and Rolls-Royce. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their team with an Electrical Technician / Automation Technician to support the assembly, installation, and commissioning of advanced manufacturing equipment.
Relocation to Switzerland
The Role
Working closely with experienced Automation Technicians and Commissioning Engineers, you will play a key role in the electrical build and final completion of high-tech machine systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Electrical installation of machine tools, assemblies, and peripheral equipment
- Electrical commissioning and functional testing of machine systems
- Working closely with mechanical assembly and commissioning teams
- Supporting troubleshooting and fault-finding activities
- Carrying out installation and commissioning activities at customer sites worldwide
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 2 years industry experience
- Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Ability to interpret and work with electrical systems and controls
- Good German language skills; English is advantageous
- Willingness to travel internationally
