Environmental Health & Safety Site Leader
DSJ Global is looking for an EH&S Site Leader to oversee worker's compensation compliance, health/wellness programs, and develop strategic site safety initiatives. The EH&S Site Leader collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with EHS systems, policies, procedures, and all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and administer Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for Pharmaceutical Systems.
- Develop policies and procedures for employee health services.
- Oversee worker's compensation compliance and health/wellness programs.
- Develop strategic site safety programs.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on Environmental Compliance, Health and Safety regulation, and Workers Compensation.
- Ensure compliance with EHS systems, policies, procedures, and local, state, federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and integrate EHS policies and metrics into plant management.
- Implement site EHS management system and policies.
- Communicate risks, issues, and plans effectively.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Maintain occupational safety and health programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and waste shipment.
- Train associates and oversee day-to-day compliance.
- Interpret environmental laws and permit requirements.
- Lead inspections and investigations.
- Monitor hazardous materials and waste records.
- Lead Emergency Response Team and EHS improvement plan.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental, Health, and Safety, Nursing, or related field.
- Preferred certifications: Functional Safety, Certified Safety Specialist, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
