Overview
Our client, a global semiconductor manufacturer, is seeking an Engineering Director to provide strategic leadership across multiple international manufacturing sites. Reporting to the COO, this role will oversee global engineering functions including equipment, facilities, automation, and major capital projects, ensuring world-class manufacturing performance and supporting future growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead global Equipment Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Factory Automation teams across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Drive equipment reliability, fab availability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement programmes.
- Oversee major CapEx investments, facility expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and engineering project execution.
- Develop engineering standards, best practices, and organisational capability across the global manufacturing network.
- Collaborate with site leadership teams to support production, technology roadmaps, and future capacity growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- Leadership experience within semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, semiconductor materials, foundries, or IDMs.
- Strong background in equipment engineering, facilities engineering, automation, manufacturing engineering, or capital project delivery.
- Experience managing large engineering teams within complex, multi-site manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and delivering strategic engineering initiatives.
