About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of HSEQ to lead and oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality across our global operations. Based in Hamburg, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust HSEQ policies, ensuring compliance with international standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global HSEQ strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage international HSEQ teams across multiple sites and regions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Drive initiatives to improve workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and product/service quality.
- Oversee internal and external audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, operations, engineering, and sustainability teams to integrate HSEQ into core business processes.
- Monitor and report on HSEQ performance metrics and KPIs to executive stakeholders.
- Promote a proactive HSEQ culture through training, communication, and leadership engagement.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in HSEQ roles, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of international HSEQ standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
