Import/Export Supervisor
Title: Inbound/Outbound Logistics Analyst
Location: Omaha, NE or Harlan, IA (On-Site)
Salary: $65,000 - $95,000
Company Overview
A global industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an Inbound/Outbound Logistics Analyst to support U.S. import/export operations and trade compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate customs processes, optimizing landed costs, and supporting end-to-end logistics execution across a complex supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign HTS/HTSUS classifications using product data, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Analyze duty rates, tariffs, and trade programs (Section 301/232, ADD/CVD)
- Prepare pre-entry summaries and landed cost estimates
- Maintain HTS codes, tariff rates, and country-of-origin data in ERP systems
- Review invoices, packing lists, and shipment documentation for accuracy
- Partner with suppliers, brokers, and freight forwarders to resolve discrepancies
- Support export compliance activities (EAR/ECCN classifications, documentation)
- Coordinate post-entry updates including PSCs and customs corrections
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting trade and logistics operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive compliance and cost savings initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of import/export, logistics, or trade compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of HTSUS, GRIs, origin rules, and customs entry processes
- Experience working with tariffs, customs brokers, and freight forwarders
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Familiarity with USMCA, FTAs, and export controls is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
