Procurement Manager - Indirect Categories (Marketing, IT, HR)

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Procurement Manager who will define the affiliate procurement objectives in line with global strategies and local business priorities. As part of a globally renowned, multinational FMCG company, you will act as the primary procurement point of contact for senior internal stakeholders in Spain and play a key role in optimizing the sourcing of indirect categories, with a particular focus on Marketing, IT, and HR.

You will lead local procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure strong alignment with cluster and global teams. This role offers broad exposure, cross‑functional collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to procurement transformation within the market.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand and Spend Management

  • Liaise with business stakeholders across Marketing, IT, and HR to understand departmental strategies and develop procurement plans for relevant categories.
  • Collaborate with Finance to maintain visibility on procurement‑addressable spend and contribute to accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Integrate project or functional requirements into sourcing plans to support cost optimization and operational needs.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Lead relationships with key local and regional suppliers to ensure the best mix of quality, service, and cost.
  • Review supplier performance and support the development of improvement plans where needed.
  • Identify alternative suppliers and solutions to meet business requirements.

Sustainable Sourcing

  • Incorporate sustainability considerations into day‑to‑day sourcing activities.
  • Stay informed on relevant sustainability trends and local regulatory requirements.
  • Review sustainability assessments with suppliers and define improvement areas.

Market Intelligence

  • Conduct and interpret industry and market research for assigned categories, including Marketing, IT, and HR services.
  • Provide market insights and benchmarking recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Build category knowledge at the affiliate and cluster level.

Budget Control & Cash Flow Improvement

  • Lead negotiations with major suppliers to deliver cost savings and efficient payment terms.
  • Support budget cycles by establishing cost forecasts and consolidating procurement reporting.

Communication & Synergy

  • Identify synergy opportunities at affiliate, regional, and global levels.
  • Support the implementation of global, regional, and cluster‑level sourcing initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication between local teams, cluster teams, and global procurement when relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

Key Experience & Knowledge

  • 6+ years' experience in procurement, ideally in indirect categories within a multinational or FMCG environment.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
    • Marketing Procurement (media, creative, digital, events)
    • IT Procurement (services, software, hardware, technology solutions)
    • HR Procurement (training, recruitment, benefits services)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across local, regional, and global teams.
  • Experience leading complex sourcing processes.
  • Strong financial understanding (budgeting, payment terms, cash flow, inflation, currency considerations).
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and business‑level English.
