Manufacturing Engineer
An industry‑leading power solutions manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of High Voltage, High Power (HVHP) products. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys working closely with the production floor, improving manufacturing systems, and driving continuous improvement in a highly technical environment.
Position Summary
This role will play a critical part in expanding manufacturing capacity and improving process efficiency, quality, and repeatability. You'll collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to optimize electro‑mechanical assemblies and production processes.
From implementing Lean / 6S methodologies to supporting new product introductions, this position will directly impact the scalability and performance of the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with electrical and mechanical engineers to design, commission, and improve electro‑mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and manufacturing processes
- Support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production issues alongside operators
- Validate and audit Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly procedures to ensure repeatable, production‑ready processes
- Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and Kaizen events to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost
- Fabricate or modify prototype components and fixtures to support current production and NPI/NPD programs
- Monitor production data and first‑pass yield; apply structured problem solving to identify root causes of failures and recurring issues
- Assist with maintenance of test equipment and critical manufacturing tools
- Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent hands‑on industry experience
- Experience working in fast‑paced, customer‑driven production environments
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate requirements into practical execution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high‑voltage power electronics or complex electro‑mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑J‑STD‑001, or similar electronics manufacturing standards
- Experience improving first‑pass yield, process efficiency, and production scalability
