We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to lead Lean initiatives within a logistics environment. The ideal candidate will drive Lean methodologies, manage a small team of improvement specialists, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and customers to enhance overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Lean Managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of operational processes across the site.
- Drive Lean initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, PDCA, and problem‑solving workshops.
- Ensure alignment of operational excellence activities with business and customer requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for improvement initiatives in a customer-facing environment, maintaining strong communication and partnership.
- Support strategic planning and performance management through data-driven analysis and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Promote best practices and standardization across operational teams and processes.
Job Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Lean Management, Continuous Improvement, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally managing Lean or process improvement teams.
- Experience working in the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in German and English (both required).
- Based in or willing to commute to the NRW region or willing to commute.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to drive structured problem solving.
