Operations Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading international logistics provider to recruit an experienced Operations Manager for a large-scale, high-volume distribution site in the Netherlands.
This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced, 24/7 warehouse environment, responsible for overseeing outbound and dispatch operations across multiple rotating shifts. You will play a central role in ensuring operational excellence, safety, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end warehouse operations within a designated shift, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of outbound and dispatch activities
- Monitor and drive performance using KPIs and data analysis; identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN methodologies and process standardisation, to support scalability and consistency
- Manage, coach, and develop Warehouse Managers and large operational teams, including performance management and succession planning
- Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and workload distribution across shifts
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and the end customer to ensure service excellence and alignment
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performance working environment while ensuring procedures and documentation remain up to date
- Report directly to senior site leadership, contributing to strategic planning and operational alignment
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a complex, high-volume logistics or warehouse environment
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams (50+ employees) in a fast-paced operational setting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements
- Experience within automated or highly mechanised warehouse environments is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; additional European languages are a plus
- A resilient, hands-on, and results-driven mindset, with the ability to perform under pressure
