Operations Manager
Overview
A growing international logistics services provider is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead its Belgian operation.
This role is ideal for a hands-on people manager who enjoys balancing operational excellence with team development. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, driving performance against key objectives, and creating an environment where employees can thrive and deliver exceptional service.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the company's continued growth while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of operational professionals in Belgium.
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring service levels and quality standards are met.
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage workload planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Translate business objectives into practical operational actions and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, and team performance.
Profile
- Proven experience in an Operations Management, Team Lead, or Branch Management position within:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain
- Customs Services
- Freight Forwarding
- Transport & Distribution
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of operational processes and performance management.
- Experience working with KPIs, productivity metrics, and service quality targets.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on operational approach.
