A fast-growing international logistics services provider is seeking a Operations Team Leader to lead and develop a team within its operational environment in Rijswijk.
This role is ideal for a people-focused leader who enjoys being close to the operation while helping individuals and teams perform at their best. You will play a key role in ensuring daily operational activities run smoothly, maintaining high levels of quality and service, and supporting the continued development of your team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of operational professionals.
- Coordinate daily activities, workload planning, and resource allocation.
- Monitor team performance and ensure service and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues and team-related challenges.
- Communicate priorities, expectations, and operational updates clearly across the team.
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose practical improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain operational continuity and service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and operational standards.
- Support operational activities when required during peak periods or capacity constraints.
Profile
- Proven experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor, or Team Manager position within:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain
- Customs Services
- Freight Forwarding
- Transport & Distribution
- Operational Shared Service Environments
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of operational and administrative processes.
- Experience coaching employees and supporting professional development.
- Ability to balance operational execution with people management responsibilities.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments where processes and priorities evolve regularly.
- Affinity with customs, logistics, or transport operations is highly advantageous.
