Plant Manager required for leading Manufacturing Company

The Plant Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across 2 local manufacturing facilities
- Lead all production, quality, safety, maintenance, and workforce activities to meet company goals
- Set and execute strategies to improve productivity, quality, labor efficiency, and cost control
- Ensure a safe work environment and reinforce safety as a core value throughout the plants
- Lead and develop production, quality, and supervisory teams through coaching and performance management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and team-based problem solving
- Plan production schedules to align plant capacity with customer demand and financial targets
- Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and take action to resolve gaps
- Ensure materials, equipment, and staffing levels are in place to support daily production needs
- Establish, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and production records
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Manage plant budgets and oversee capital projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within approved costs
- Partner with HR to support employee relations, workforce development, and leadership succession
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and business leaders to support operational needs and future growth
- Act as a change leader who engages employees, resolves production constraints, and strengthens plant culture
The ideal Plant Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years of exempt-level leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience leading plant or operations teams in a complex production setting
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to manage plant budgets, labor costs, and capital expenditures
- Experience leading supervisors and managers and developing internal talent
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
- Ability to diagnose operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
- Track record of maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Strong customer focus and experience working with internal and external stakeholders
- Project management experience with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work across multiple facilities and travel as needed
- Experience in the marine industry is a plus, but not required
- Authorization to work in the United States
