Principal RF/Electrical Production Support Engineer

As a Principal RF Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and testing of advanced RF and microwave systems for defense and aerospace applications. You will play a key role in shaping next-generation radar, communications, and electronic warfare systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, simulation, and validation of RF/microwave circuits and subsystems (e.g., amplifiers, mixers, filters, antennas, transceivers).
  • Perform system-level RF analysis including link budgets, noise figure, gain, and linearity.
  • Guide PCB layout for high-frequency designs and ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards.
  • Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate RF systems into larger platforms.
  • Conduct design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical leadership across projects.
  • Support prototype development, lab testing, and troubleshooting using advanced RF test equipment (e.g., VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
  • Interface with customers and program managers to define requirements and present technical solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging RF technologies and contribute to R&D initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in RF/microwave design, preferably in defense or aerospace sectors.
  • Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, CST, Microwave Office).
  • Strong understanding of RF system design principles and trade-offs.
  • Experience with high-reliability, ruggedized hardware for military or space environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
