Location: San Antonio, TX
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + bonus
Summary:
A reputable food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Process Engineer for their San Antonio facility
Responsibilities:
The ideal Process Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Look for new and better ways to improve how things are made, including checking out equipment at trade shows in the U.S. and Europe.
- Ask vendors for price quotes and make sure everyone understands what the project involves.
- Stay in touch with the chosen vendor throughout the project and act as the main contact person.
- Keep project documents organized and up to date, and help test equipment before it's delivered to make sure it works properly.
- Help make sure everything runs smoothly when new equipment or processes are added to the production line.
- Spot areas in current operations that could be improved and suggest plans for upgrades, including how much they might cost and how long it would take to see results.
Qualifications
The ideal Process Engineer will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial preferred)
- 3+ years of experience working within food manufacturing/food production
- 3+ Process improvement experience within a food manufacturing/ food production setting
