This position focuses on analyzing procurement trends, identifying opportunities for structural productivity improvements, and ensuring alignment with global reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement data to identify regional opportunities and gaps.
- Create localized reports leveraging global reporting tools to support category teams.
- Conduct ongoing gap analysis for both inventoried and non-inventoried purchases.
- Establish reporting criteria for tail spend management.
- Support system taxonomy identification and data improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Operations Team on compliance reporting.
- Perform data analysis and modeling to assist in RFP evaluations.
- Lead or contribute to special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-5 years of procurement analysis experience within the chemicals industry.
Skills and Competencies
- Detail Orientation: Ability to handle complex data meticulously.
- Advanced Excel and Access: Proficient in macros, formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
- Data Analysis: Proven expertise in synthesizing large datasets into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Database Familiarity: Experience with relational databases and business intelligence tools.
- Market Data Knowledge: Familiarity with indices like IHS, ICIS, and Platt's is a plus.
