Procurement Manager
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management initiatives across a range of indirect categories. This role is instrumental in optimizing cost, quality, and service delivery while supporting operational excellence in a regulated industry environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, functional expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop, negotiate, and manage various contract types, including Master Service Agreements and consulting, facilities, HR, travel, and equipment contracts.
- Ensure contracts align with organizational goals related to quality, cost, and service.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Communicate sourcing strategies and negotiation outcomes to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
- Implement supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement programs.
- Support indirect procurement areas such as Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO).
Commodity & Category Management
- Develop annual commodity strategies based on spend analysis, market trends, and business forecasts.
- Identify and evaluate global sourcing opportunities to meet cost, quality, and sustainability goals.
- Manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs and sourcing pipelines.
Strategic Sourcing
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, cost modeling, and risk assessment.
- Partner with stakeholders to define scopes of work and execute sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements in collaboration with legal and business teams.
Risk Management
- Monitor supplier risk profiles and implement mitigation strategies.
- Recommend and execute supply chain risk reduction initiatives.
Cost Optimization
- Drive cost savings through sourcing initiatives and procurement programs.
- Track and report on savings performance against annual and multi-year targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, aerospace).
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPM, CPSM) are a plus.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate suppliers and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies.
