Production Engineer
A leading chemical manufacturing company is looking for a Production Engineer! This role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, solving technical challenges, and ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible production of high-quality products. Looking for someone that has a strong foundation in engineering, along with excellent communication, organizational skills, and leadership capabilities-both for immediate impact and long-term growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Safety & Compliance
Ensures adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards and company policies, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. - Technical Expertise & Process Optimization
Applies chemical engineering principles to support operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize production for quality, reliability, cost-efficiency, and environmental performance. - Project & Equipment Support
Participates in commissioning new equipment, supports minor plant modifications, and collaborates on large-scale system changes including design reviews and hazard analyses. - Documentation & Training
Assists in developing and reviewing operating procedures, conducts internal technical training, and contributes to budgeting and special engineering studies. - Collaboration & Leadership
Works closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency projects, lead root cause analyses, and interface with contractors/vendors as needed, while sharing on-call responsibilities.
Skillset Includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related
- 3+ years plant engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
