Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations in their food and beverage manufacturing facility in Miami. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production processes, maintain high-quality standards, and lead a team to meet production goals while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of food and beverage production, ensuring timely and cost-effective manufacturing.Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Quality Control:
Ensure all products meet company and regulatory quality standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.).Process Optimization:
Identify and implement improvements in production efficiency, waste reduction, and resource utilization.Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are available and properly managed.Compliance & Safety:
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular audits and training sessions.Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor KPIs, prepare production reports, and present performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in production management within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in production software and ERP systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with Miami's local food production regulations and labor market.
