The Production Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading daily production activities in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality products that meet customer expectations and scheduled commitments.
- Coordinating production workflows, managing priorities, and maintaining alignment with plant performance goals.
- Driving process improvements through Lean methodologies, continuous improvement initiatives, and strong shop‑floor engagement.
- Partnering closely with maintenance to support equipment uptime, reliability, and safe operation.
- Promoting and enforcing safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures across all shifts.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing supervisors and production employees to strengthen performance and teamwork.
- Addressing production issues, resolving workflow disruptions, and proactively minimizing scrap, rework, and quality concerns.
- Reviewing production data and performance metrics to guide corrective actions and improve efficiency.
- Maintaining strong 5S and housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
- Supporting financial objectives through labor planning, MRO stewardship, and effective resource allocation.
- Collaborating with HR on staffing, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
The Production Manager will have:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.
- A High School Diploma or GED required; a college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (IFS preferred) and strong computer proficiency, including Excel.
- Hands‑on experience with Lean Daily Management, SQDC boards, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and familiarity with kitting operations.
