Production Manager
Position Summary:
A leading home building manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations across multiple manufacturing departments. In this role, you'll ensure strong output, safety, quality, and workflow efficiency while partnering with plant leadership to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement. You'll also play a key role in developing high‑performing teams and maintaining a positive, engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production schedules, staffing, and material flow to meet operational targets
- Drive quality initiatives, support audits, and champion customer‑focused processes
- Promote safety best practices and lead incident investigations and training
- Track KPIs, analyze performance, and implement improvement initiatives
- Coordinate equipment usage with maintenance to reduce downtime
- Manage budgets and identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Resolve escalated issues from internal teams, suppliers, and employees
- Hire, train, and develop team members while supporting engagement and retention
- Support process optimization and cross‑functional collaboration across the plant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience (manufacturing strongly preferred)
- Experience with Lean/continuous improvement methods is a plus
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, strategic planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet business expectations in a fast‑paced environment
- Willingness to travel as needed
