Project Engineer
Overview
Our partner is an industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Project Engineer to support capital project execution at a large production facility. This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through startup, while ensuring safety, cost control, and operational efficiency. The position also provides technical support to maintenance and operations teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital projects through all phases from scoping, design, and planning through commissioning and close‑out.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates to support budgeting and planning.
- Provide technical oversight for the design, installation, and startup of plant systems.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for operational and maintenance issues.
- Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines and budgets.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and resolving recurring issues.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in engineering or project management (industrial experience preferred).
- Experience managing or supporting capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of tools such as MS Office, Project, SAP, and AutoCAD.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems such as piping, HVAC, and process equipment preferred.
