💵 Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 base salary
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Raleigh area, is seeking a Materials Manager with strong procurement experience to join their team. This individual will oversee materials planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier coordination to ensure seamless production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead materials planning and inventory control to support production schedules
- Manage procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiations, and purchase orders
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to forecast material needs
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce shortages and excess
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Analyze data to improve cost efficiency, lead times, and material flow
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of materials management or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in procurement/purchasing
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production setting
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
