Sales Account Manager - MidWest
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our growing team in the coatings industry. This remote role is responsible for managing and expanding key customer relationships, driving sales growth, and identifying new business opportunities across the Midwest region. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of coatings, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts in the coatings sector.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and operations teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of sales experience in the coatings, chemicals, or industrial manufacturing space.
- Strong knowledge of coatings formulations, applications, and market segments.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Midwest region.
