Position Summary:
The Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer will lead the design, testing, and implementation of control systems for electric vintage vehicles. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, design, and electrical teams, and will be responsible for technical leadership in new product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect next-generation ECU and vehicle control systems.
  • Define project requirements and system logic.
  • Implement and test software and hardware solutions.
  • Verify vehicle system operations and performance.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration in product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in vehicle control systems.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for powertrain and thermal system design.
  • Experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer).
  • Strong understanding of CAN/LIN protocols and electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with the V-Cycle development process.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Experience with CAPL scripting (a plus).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for vehicles and engineering innovation.

Work Environment:

  • Physical activity including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Work in a clean, organized shop environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Use of safety equipment such as ear protection, eye protection, and respirators as needed.
