About the Role:
This company is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead and manage cost estimation efforts for complex shipbuilding projects. You will play a critical role in project planning, bidding, and execution by delivering accurate and timely cost assessments that support strategic decision-making. Some highlights:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for shipbuilding projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Analyze technical specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
- Prepare bid packages and support proposal development for government and commercial clients.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
- Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimation tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Construction Management, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating within the shipbuilding or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of ship construction methods, materials, and labor productivity.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, Excel).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
