About the role
As the Senior Manager of Operational Excellence, you will serve as a key driver of continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your expertise in Lean Six Sigma and operational strategy to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and foster a culture of excellence throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Develop and execute comprehensive operational excellence strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Champion Lean Six Sigma: Implement advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve quality.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify, prioritize, and deliver impactful process improvement projects across heavy manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of improvement initiatives.
- Measure and Report Performance: Establish KPIs, monitor progress, and communicate results to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Mentor and Influence: Provide guidance and thought leadership to teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning.

Required Skills
- Lean Six Sigma Expertise: Proven ability to apply Lean Six Sigma principles to complex manufacturing environments; Black Belt certification preferred.
- Heavy Manufacturing Experience: Strong background in industrial or heavy machinery manufacturing, with a deep understanding of operational challenges.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess current processes, identify gaps, and implement sustainable, long-term solutions.
- Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
