Senior Production and Utilities Engineer

Position Overview:
The Senior Production & Utilities Engineer will lead and optimize manufacturing operations within a specialty chemical plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production. This role focuses on process improvement, utilities management, and compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day production activities and utilities systems (steam, water, compressed air, etc.) to maintain operational excellence.
  • Drive process optimization initiatives to improve yield, reduce energy consumption, and minimize waste.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production and utility-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital projects, equipment upgrades, and technology implementation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SOPs, maintenance plans, and performance metrics.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operations staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in specialty chemical or related process industries.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical process operations, utilities systems, and energy management.
  • Proven track record in process optimization and project execution.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
