Senior Utilities Engineer
Overview:
The Senior Production and Utilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing production processes and utility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role focuses on optimizing plant performance, managing critical utilities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize production operations to achieve output, quality, and safety goals.
- Manage and maintain utility systems (steam, water, compressed air, HVAC) to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to resolve technical issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Support capital projects and equipment upgrades related to production and utilities.
- Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in production and utilities engineering within chemical or process manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of chemical process operations, utility systems, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
