As part of its continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Silicone Engineer to drive material innovation and product development across multiple categories.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Silicone Engineer, you will lead the development and optimization of silicone-based components and products, ensuring performance, safety, and manufacturability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, R&D, quality, and manufacturing to bring high-quality consumer products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead silicone material selection, formulation, and testing for new product development.
- Develop and validate silicone tooling and molding processes for high-volume production.
- Collaborate with industrial designers and product managers to ensure feasibility and performance of silicone components.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for silicone-related production issues.
- Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, LFGB, REACH).
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize silicone processing and quality control.
- Support sustainability initiatives by exploring eco-friendly silicone alternatives and recycling strategies.
- Document technical specifications, test protocols, and validation reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in silicone engineering, preferably within consumer goods or medical-grade applications.
- Strong knowledge of silicone chemistry, curing systems (e.g. HCR), and molding techniques.
- Experience with product development cycles from concept to mass production.
- Familiarity with international compliance standards for food-grade and cosmetic-grade silicone.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional European or Asian languages are a plus.
