Sourcing Specialist
Our client, a leading organization, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to spearhead strategic initiatives focused on reducing overall landed costs, optimizing spend, and improving total cost of ownership (TCO). This role involves managing sourcing activities such as RFQs and RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, and driving continuous improvement programs to achieve cost savings. Success requires strong collaboration across Materials, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Sourcing Management
- Manage a defined supplier portfolio, ensuring cost optimization through effective negotiations and favorable terms.
- Execute sourcing events (RFQs/RFPs) to identify cost reduction opportunities and support new product development.
- Maintain proactive communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance.
- Conduct business reviews with strategic suppliers and internal teams to monitor performance.
- Apply best practices to enhance supplier reliability, minimize waste, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Utilize data-driven insights to improve sourcing strategies and material management processes.
Operational & Financial Alignment
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Materials teams to resolve supply-related challenges and maintain material availability.
- Work closely with Finance and Treasury to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for accounts payable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline
- Preffered 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- Familiarity with international trade is advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with a results-driven mindset
