Sr, Quality Assurance Engineer
Looking for a highly motivated quality assurance engineer located in or around Oxnard, CA who will retain responsibilities including developing and implementing assigned sections of the Quality Assurance Program through the dynamic environments of aerospace and defense. The role will also implement planning activities that include the development, application and maintenance of quality standards during the industrial process. Need someone willing to direct and follow through action, as this role includes leading in the direction and action of this planning process throughout the industrial materials, products, and processes.
The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for…
- Design and maintain quality assurance programs: Designing and implementing quality procedures, conduct complex audits, and ensure compliance with aerospace and defense manufacturing standards
- Lead training and problem resolution: create training programs for inspectors and manufacturing staff, analyze quality issues, implement corrective actions, and communicate directly with customers to resolve concerns
- Collaborate and manage documentation: review customer proposals, prepare quality plans, collaborate with customer QA representatives, and manage
- Prepares the more difficult quality plans to assure that all customer contractual quality requirements are satisfied
The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year accredited college or university
- 3-5 years relevant experience (preferably at the Quality Engineer level), understanding of military and commercial aerospace quality assurance systems and procedures, familiarity with specifications such as MIL-Q-9858 and Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Adapt to Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Must be able to lift/move up to 10 lbs., and the work environment is usually loud, and the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Mathematical skills: the ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry
- Certified Quality Engineer desirable
