Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Professional Services
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Strategic Sourcing Manager to support the execution of sourcing strategies within the professional services category. This role will report to a Sourcing Category Leader and contribute to supplier spend management, competitive bidding processes, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a collaborative mindset to help drive sourcing excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and identify qualified suppliers.
- Design and execute competitive sourcing processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
- Evaluate supplier proposals and present sourcing options aligned with business needs.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract drafting and redlining.
- Implement and govern buying channels to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Finance, Procurement Operations, and Third Party Risk.
- Maintain adherence to sourcing policies and procedures.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance value and anticipate client needs.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of professional services sourcing experience
- Strong negotiation, issue resolution, and project management skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables)
- High comfort level with technology and data analysis
- Experience in cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle and sourcing processes
Preferred:
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment
