We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Transport Planning Manager to oversee and optimize our client's transportation operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods across our logistics network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport planning, excellent leadership skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement transport strategies that align with business goals and customer requirements.Route Optimization:
Design and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of transport planners and coordinators, ensuring high performance and continuous development.Carrier Management:
Liaise with third-party carriers and logistics providers to negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.Data Analysis & Reporting:
Use transport management systems (TMS) and analytics tools to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all transport activities comply with legal, environmental, and health & safety regulations.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with warehouse, customer service, and procurement teams to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics operations.
