Process Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to optimize and improve our chemical manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, process design, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Monitor and analyze process performance using data-driven approaches.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS.
- Lead or support capital projects, including equipment specification and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of five year's experience as a Process Engineer, monomer or ethylene
- 2-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or process engineering role.
- Strong understanding of chemical process design, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
