Regional Account Manager
This is a hunter‑focused sales role responsible for selling a broad range of oils and lubricants across multiple industries, with particular emphasis on automotive, heavy‑duty, and hydraulic applications. The Lubricant Sales Specialist is accountable for driving new business within an assigned territory while also expanding sales within existing accounts. This position covers the Toledo, OH region and requires approximately three nights of travel per month.
Core activities include consistently meeting monthly growth targets, proactive prospecting, conducting customer visits, participating in internal meetings, and maintaining strong follow‑up with both new prospects and established clients through in‑person interactions, phone calls, and email.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development through cold calling, networking, referral outreach, and leveraging internal and external leads.
- Conduct regular in‑person customer visits and daily prospecting within the assigned territory.
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales quotas and growth objectives.
- Develop sales plans, forecasts, and performance tracking to ensure targets are met.
- Create and present tailored customer solutions utilizing the organization's full suite of products and services.
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation to track activities, pipeline progress, and account development.
- Prepare customer‑specific information, including pricing, margins, job scope, and profitability analysis.
- Travel weekly within the territory, including occasional overnight stays as necessary.
Qualifications
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and make thoughtful decisions in complex or challenging situations.
- Strong business acumen with excellent time‑management and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to interpret and communicate technical or commercial information.
- Minimum 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in industrial, automotive, or lubrication‑related industries.
