Senior Operations Manager - Distribution Operations
Location: Statesville, NC (On-site)
Schedule: Flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends as needed
About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the flow of product through a high-volume distribution facility. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Operations Supervisors and ensuring safe, efficient, and effective inventory movement. You'll play a key role in forecasting production volume, reallocating resources in real-time, and driving performance to meet store demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Operations Supervisors
- Monitor and manage daily inventory flow and operational efficiency
- Analyze production volume and adjust resources to meet fluctuating demands
- Resolve complex operational issues and escalate when necessary
- Communicate business objectives and workload plans to teams and leadership
- Drive performance to meet or exceed key performance indicators
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work a set schedule that aligns with facility needs
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted (up to 70 lbs with assistance)
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field plus 3 years of experience in distribution operations
OR
7 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations - Proven leadership experience with direct reports
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience leading teams through change
- Commitment to safety and building a safety-first culture
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing budgets, time, and resources
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Leadership experience in corporate initiatives or within a supply chain network
- Bilingual skills (if applicable to the facility)
