Supply Chain Specialist

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key cross-functional role in managing SKU-level forecasting, inventory control, sales data analysis, purchase order creation, and coordination of international freight. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage SKU-level forecasts for both e-commerce and retail channels to meet vendor goals and inventory turnover targets.
  • Utilize vendor portals to extract and analyze demand planning data, updating internal forecasts accordingly.
  • Maintain and update internal sales and operations documents (e.g., Overstock List, Gross Sales Report, Out-of-Stock Report).
  • Analyze retail POS data, historical sales, and inventory levels to update demand plans using Excel and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with eCommerce and Sales teams to support direct-to-consumer and mid-tier retailer demand planning.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Team to allocate customer orders for complete shipment.
  • Monitor and report on vendor performance metrics (e.g., On-Time Shipping, OTIF, Inventory Turns, Chargebacks).
  • Prepare weekly business reviews and operational reports for leadership.
  • Maintain item-level master data, product lifecycle status, and customer-level classifications.
  • Support product lifecycle management, including identifying slow-moving SKUs and recommending discontinuations.
  • Ensure supplier timelines are met within capacity and lead time constraints.
  • Assist in planning and launching new products and programs, updating shared timelines and documents.
  • Distribute regular inventory reports to Sales and Executive teams.
  • Coordinate with international freight forwarders on container shipments, cost quotes, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain a product purchase plan, collaborating with Finance to align with budget targets.
  • Support continuous improvement of demand planning tools and systems.
  • Communicate with overseas manufacturers regarding purchase orders, production schedules, and quantities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the juvenile products market.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in demand and supply chain planning.
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication with international suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
