Quality Control Specialist
Key Responsibilities
Process inbound and outbound FAIRs per AS9102, including:
- Reviewing parts and documentation
- Completing required logs and records
- Communicating status updates to relevant teams
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Support internal non‑conformance processing:
- Retrieve and analyze non‑conforming material
- Clarify and restate problem statements
- Route material through the appropriate non‑conformance process
- Maintain required documentation and status updates
Coordinate and support Government and/or Customer Source Inspections, including preparation, setup, and guidance through completion.
Create and compile End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) including:
- Certificates of Conformance (COCs)
- Inspection and test data
- Material certifications
- Supporting documentation
Develop, update, and maintain process instructions for quality‑related activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent training
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Solid knowledge of GD&T
- Good understanding of engineering drawing and specification systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Self‑motivated with strong initiative and follow‑through
- Knowledge of DISCUS CMM
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AS9100 aerospace quality management systems
- Internal audit experience
- Knowledge of FAIR validation and verification processes
- Experience with quality system training or equivalent coursework
- Strong skills in data entry, record management, and document control
- Effective problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to apply knowledge across a wide range of tasks
