Associate Manager, Quality Management
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000
Join a leading aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer seeking a quality leader to oversee site-wide quality systems, develop a team of quality professionals, and drive continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Quality Engineers and Inspection personnel
- Maintain and improve the AS9100 Quality Management System
- Drive KPI performance through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage customer and supplier quality activities, including audits, scorecards, and issue resolution
- Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and reduce cost of poor quality
- Serve as the site's primary quality leader and key member of the leadership team
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 6+ years of quality experience within aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience managing AS9100 quality systems, audits, and customer quality requirements
- Strong background in corrective actions, root cause analysis, quality metrics, and continuous improvement
- Prior experience leading or mentoring quality teams
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience preferred
