Job Title: Business Analyst
Reports to: Vice President, Operations - Anaerobic Digestion
Position Summary:
The Business Analyst will play a key role in analyzing data and market trends, identifying business needs and opportunities, and delivering strategic solutions to enhance the operations and profitability of anaerobic digestion facilities. This role involves close collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams to gather data, develop presentations, and translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop financial models to assess project viability, including capital and operational costs, revenue streams, and potential incentives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, biogas yield, and performance.
- Prepare business cases and presentations for new and existing projects, including financial projections and KPIs.
- Map and evaluate current business processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements or automation.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Support project management activities including timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
- Assist in managing organizational change during the implementation of new systems or processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role.
- Background in industrial manufacturing or continuous production environments.
- Strong skills in data analysis, engineering, financial modeling, and project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Work Environment:
- Primarily remote with less than 25% travel.
- Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
Position Type & Hours:
- Full-time position.
- Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional weekend work as needed.
